Teakwood Travel Group is not a franchise. Advisors partnering with us operate as independent business owners under their own brands, while benefiting from the tools and resources provided by our host agency.

Teakwood Travel Group is a registered Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the State of New Jersey.

 No. Independent Travel Advisors affiliated with Teakwood Travel Group, LLC operate as independent business owners (IRS 1099 Independent Contractors). There is no employment relationship. As a business owner, you control your schedule, business model, and goals. 

 A host agency provides Independent Travel Advisors with access to supplier relationships, professional tools, training opportunities, and community support.

 No. As an Independent Travel Advisor, you operate as a self-employed business owner. You choose your business goals, schedule, and client focus. We do not impose sales quotas or mandatory work hours.

 Absolutely. As an Independent Contractor, you have complete control over which types of travel you sell and which markets you target. Many of our advisors choose to specialize in Disney Destinations, Sandals & Beaches Resorts, cruise vacations, or luxury all-inclusive resorts — while others sell a broader range of travel products.

Participation in training is always optional. Advisors choose which programs to complete based on their business goals and interests.

 Yes. As is standard with professional host agencies, there is an onboarding fee and annual renewal fee. These fees cover the cost of optional access to:

✅ Supplier portals
✅ Training resources
✅ Administrative services

In addition, advisors are responsible for:
✅ Maintaining a business website (optional — can be their own or agency-supported)
✅ Using a professional email address (provided — see below)
✅ Maintaining Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance — required to protect their independent business

Full fee details are provided during the application process.

 Teakwood Travel Group provides the option for advisors to be listed on a branded agency site and/or to build their own website if desired. Advisors are responsible for the cost of maintaining their own website or domain, if they choose to do so. 

 Yes. All Independent Travel Advisors affiliated with Teakwood Travel Group are provided with a professional, agency-branded email address (yourname@teakwoodtravel.com) as part of their affiliation with the host agency. This is included in the onboarding process. Advisors are responsible for maintaining professional communications through this account.

 Yes. All Independent Travel Advisors affiliated with Teakwood Travel Group are required to maintain their own Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage. We provide guidance and referrals to reputable providers offering affordable coverage for travel professionals.
